5 questions for Toon van Gastel

Toon has been working with us since 2011 and is Product Manager in our Loyalty department.

“Personally, I think it’s great to see how we contribute to the experience among the target group with the loyalty programs and really make a difference for organizations.”

1. How do you start your working day?

Normally I start my working day by making a detailed planning for the day in question. But of course not before I have served an espresso or cappuccino for the colleagues in the department! When I’ve done that, I look at the LoyaltyPoint dashboards.

2. What are your activities on a day?

Every day I am in frequent contact with our customers (clients). My activities range from program evaluations, developing campaigns and actions, guiding IT deployments, providing demonstrations and of course the Product development of LoyaltyPoint . In addition, I work closely with the other Loyalty Product Manager on a daily basis in the coordination of operational topics and the product development of the LoyaltyPoint Software Service package.

3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?

I think we can be proud of all the loyalty programs we have been able to run for our customers over the years. If I can pick two, I’m thinking of the Together Greenchoice consumer loyalty program and the Yource Coins employee loyalty program. Both programs are really an integral part of the strategy of these organizations. The result may be there; both in the content of the programs and in the objectives achieved, which speak for themselves again and again. Due to the diversity of customers and projects, we are continuously challenged to continuously improve and further develop our LoyaltyPoint Software Service application.

4. What makes your job so enjoyable?

Personally, I think it’s great to see how our loyalty programs contribute to the experience among the target group and really make a difference for organizations. Ultimately, it is about the experience and the feeling that we evoke in people. It is up to us to remain creative, to be agile and to develop continuously. The portfolio of loyalty programs for consumers, business relations and employees are our right to exist and I think we can be extremely proud of that.
