5 questions for Sanne Hoogerheide

Sanne is studying Communication in Rotterdam and has been an intern at Touch since January 2024.

“Coming up with social media posts and the freedom we get makes my internship fun and educational.”

1. How do you start your working day?

When I arrive at the office, I first grab my things and start everything up. Then I check my mail and calendar and make a to-do list for myself so I know what I want or need to finish that day.

2. What are your activities on a day?

I have different duties in a day. For instance, I rotate between the Touch Promotions, Marketing and Service departments.

At Promotions, I am responsible for keeping the platforms we manage up to date, such as checking whether all the links on the homepage are working and listing products. In addition, I will soon be taking part in the construction of a platform so that I can also help with this later in my internship.

I also keep myself busy writing our own newsletters for Erop Uit Voordeel, Home Voordeel and Smaak Voordeel and some customer newsletters, such as for LOI, Prénatal or Mandemakers. In addition, together with Rached, my fellow intern, I keep busy with the content calendar for our socials. We can incorporate our own inspiration and ideas in this, which we then discuss during the weekly meeting with the marketing colleagues.

Furthermore, I take part in Service once a week. Here, I speak to customers on the phone.

3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?

I enjoy getting involved with the socials, thinking about how to fill them together and creating reels for on Instagram. I look forward to the things that are yet to come my way during the coming months.

4. What makes your internship so enjoyable?

Coming up with social media posts together with Rached and the freedom we get to incorporate our input into future reels makes my internship fun and educational. As does helping customers over the phone. Together with a flexible working environment and friendly colleagues, I am looking forward to the rest of my internship period.
