Marion has been working as Back Office Support since 2017.

“When I have processed all emails at the end of the day and satisfied all customers, it gives me a good feeling.”

1. How do you start your working day?

I work two days from home and two days in the office. Because I have to drive a long way to the office, I am often just in time or a little later because of traffic jams. When I enter, I immediately start up my computer and laptop. Then I open the programs I need and get a cup of coffee.

I start my work by checking my own emails. After this I look at the other mailboxes of, among others, the Lokaal Verscadeaukaart and the IJskadokaart.

2. What are your activities on a day?

The work is very different. Among other things, I am involved in answering emails that have come in for the Lokaal Verscadeaukaart and the IJscadeaukaart. In addition to the emails, I also manage the administration of these two platforms.

When calls come in about these products, but also about the Coffee & Pastry Card, I take them. For example, I get questions about where to hand in this gift card, but also about locations or not being able to return the cards.

In addition, there are questions from acceptors about invoicing, login details and commission costs. For these questions, I first request the data from the app developer. They process the gift cards and invoices and manage the app with which the cards are scanned.

I also make links between different cards, process new registrations or cancel return points in our administration. In order to keep track of who is affiliated with our cards, I keep in touch with contact persons from Jumbo, Hema, BP, Kwalitaria, etc. My activities are therefore very diverse.

3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?

I am proud of everything I do.

4. What makes your job so enjoyable?

I enjoy making sure everything is going well and seeing a product run well. I want everyone to be happy. When I have processed all emails at the end of the day and satisfied all customers, it gives me a good feeling. When something goes wrong, I can be in a bad mood for a while. I can’t handle that very well, but luckily that’s not often!
