1. How do you start your working day?
I prefer to arrive at the office early, and I am usually one of the first to arrive. This gives me time to calmly plan my day and determine which tasks are priorities for that day. Then I have a cup of tea and a glass of water, and the day, and the hustle and bustle, can really begin.
2. What are your activities on a day?
As Financial Controller, I am responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports, monitoring the financial position and supporting management with clear management information. I ensure a reliable month-end closing, perform in-depth analyses and proactively contribute ideas on financial optimisation. It is quite diverse with many recurring factors. Currently, the largest ongoing project is the audit.
3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?
I am proud of how quickly I have mastered various systems, such as SAP and Exact, and how I have also learned to use Power Query. It is great to see that I can immediately apply these skills in practice to speed up processes and improve insights — this is not only satisfying, but also delivers real value to the team.
4. What makes your job so enjoyable?
What makes my job so enjoyable is that I am given plenty of scope to develop myself. I am constantly learning new things, from systems and tools to substantive financial issues, which makes the work varied and challenging. That growth, both personal and professional, gives me a great deal of satisfaction.
