5 questions to Debby van der Zon

Debby joins our team since 2024 and is our Manager Project Management & Customer Service.

“The combination of working with a team on even better work processes and taking the team to the next level, as well as working on commercial projects for clients in which I can put my creativity, make my job challenging and interesting.”

1. How do you start your working day?

I prefer to start the day nice and early with a cup of coffee. I look at my planning for the day, prepare meetings and check the status of current projects and the workload at customer service. Then I try to briefly check in with all my colleagues to see how things are going.

2. What are your activities on a day?

My role within Touch is very diverse besides the day-to-day management of the project management team and the customer service team, I have a lot of contact with our IT team, sales colleagues and various customers. No day is the same!

3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?

One of my first projects when I started within Touch was setting up Taartenpost.nl, a new in-house platform where you can order a letterbox cake. A super fun and thoughtful incentive that has since been well received by our customer portfolio to put employees in the limelight and reward loyal customers.

Since January 2025, I have also been responsible for the customer service team. Due to continued growth in the organisation, there was a need to introduce more structures and lines within this team and to scrutinise the processes. Together with the team, we looked at areas for improvement and are gradually rolling these out. This immediately results in a better workflow and even better insight.

4. What makes your job so enjoyable?

I thrive on a varied range of tasks where no day is the same and ad hoc switching occurs regularly. It is precisely the combination of working with a team on even better work processes and raising the team to a higher level, as well as working on commercial projects for customers in which I can put my creativity, that makes my job challenging and interesting.
