“The combination of a pleasant working environment and educational, varied tasks made this internship very valuable to me.”

1. How do you start your working day?

I started my day by grabbing my laptop, a glass of water, and checking my emails. I also looked at my schedule, which outlined exactly what I was going to do that day. I often started by writing newsletters for our loyalty customers.

2. What are your activities on a day?

I was mainly involved in producing newsletters for customers who have a loyalty programme with us, doing three to five of these per day. I also wrote the texts for Touch Incentive’s social media posts. I did this together with the other intern, Thomas. We also came up with the images and hashtags for the social posts together. In addition, I analysed the social media posts to come up with recommendations for what works better.

3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?

I am particularly proud that we have started creating and posting Reels on Instagram. This was something that had not been done much before. I contributed creative ideas, co-wrote scripts and helped with filming and editing. Thanks to these efforts, we now have a new form of content that not only fits in with current trends on social media, but also contributes to better visibility and engagement on Touch Incentive’s social accounts. It’s great to see that these Reels are being viewed a lot, and I’m glad I’ve been involved from the start.

4. What makes your job so enjoyable?

What made my internship so enjoyable and special was above all the pleasant working atmosphere and the team I worked with. My colleagues were not only professional, but also very friendly and helpful. There was always time for a chat and humour in the workplace, and I felt really at ease within the team. That social aspect meant that I enjoyed starting every day of my internship.

In addition, I got a lot of satisfaction from the fact that my work was taken seriously and that I could really contribute something. I was given the freedom to take initiative, share my ideas, and contribute to various marketing communications. This made me feel involved in the work and I could really see the results of my efforts. That combination of a pleasant working environment and educational, varied tasks made this internship very valuable to me.
