1. How do you start your working day?
My day starts with a short walk to the office, listening to Qmusic and getting started at a leisurely pace. At the office, we start with a daily sync with the development team. We look at new tickets and determine what needs immediate attention. Then I go through my schedule and try to tick off tasks from my to-do list between meetings.
2. What are your activities on a day?
As Product Owner, I am the link between the business and the development team. I am the first to assess new development requests, discuss them with stakeholders and translate wishes and technical dependencies into clear assignments for the team. We then plan everything based on priority.
In addition, I monitor the progress of ongoing projects, keep the backlog up to date, prepare refinements and coordinate with other departments. What I like about my role is that I can directly contribute to improving the customer journey, both for our customers and for colleagues who work with our applications on a daily basis.
3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?
I am proud of how much we achieve with a small technical team. For every request, we look for a simple and scalable solution that can be used by multiple customers. I have been able to contribute from the very beginning, for example by providing insight into promotions and adding new functionalities to the shop.
4. What makes your job so enjoyable?
Switching between the big picture and the details is what makes my work enjoyable. I want to see the whole picture and how that translates into concrete solutions. As a Product Owner, I translate ideas into clear steps for the team and ensure that everything is in the right place. The more difficult the issue, the more enjoyable I find it to solve. It energises me to see that customers or colleagues benefit from it and that our work actually makes an impact. And I do all this together with a team where hard work and fun go hand in hand.
